I am looking forward to see how this partnership we have with the 3 churches can be a model and platform for new church plants in other parts of Sydney.

We are most excited to introduce Ben and Elena! These two are full of adventure, church planting experience and many surprises! The Yee's have graciously let us have team meetings at their house under the close watch of their cat Sugarpea and have opened up their hearts to the team. We are so excited to see how God will continue to shape this lovely couple to glorify Him in this new part of life and step of faith with a new church plant.

How did you two meet and how long have you been married?
We met through friends but it was the train rides on the north shore line that we really got to know each other. We have been married for 3 years.

Where did you grow up?
Elena grew up in Sydney in the south just before Tom Ugly’s bridge, however, Ben grew up in the Solomon Islands… we will leave it at that. :P

You have done a bit of travelling, what would be your favourite country/place to date and why?
We both love the snow and we quite like Japan, Canada and the United States.

You have a magical cat, Sugarpea, what do you think she is really thinking when we all pile into your house for team meetings?
(Ben) Its not the team that Sugarpea's worried about, its Elena. Team meetings are the only time that Sugarpea gets her me time.

Pray that my personal faith in Jesus continues to grow throughout the journey and that we will see many in the community come to know Jesus.

Ben, what are you looking forward to in being a part of the setting up a new church plant?
I am looking forward to see how this partnership we have with the 3 churches can be a model and platform for new church plants in other parts of Sydney.

Elena, what community involvement possibilities are you most excited about?
Mercy ministries and ministries that give practical help.

How can people best be praying for you both during this church planting journey?
(Ben) From the church visits, we noticed that there are church plants that fail and some that succeed - we want to pray for perseverance and strength through tough times.

(Elena) Pray that my personal faith in Jesus continues to grow throughout the journey and that we will see many in the community come to know Jesus.
